In anticipation of a heavy passenger rush during Durga Puja 2026, Sealdah Division convened a high-level coordination meeting chaired by DRM/Sealdah Sri Rajeev Saxena. Senior officials from the Government Railway Police (GRP), State Police and Kolkata Traffic Police participated in the meeting to discuss comprehensive arrangements for effective crowd management, enhanced passenger safety and the smooth movement of commuters.
The meeting focused on strengthening coordination among the concerned authorities to ensure efficient crowd regulation and maintain smooth passenger movement during the festive season. Special emphasis was placed on developing a coordinated approach to managing large gatherings and facilitating safe and orderly movement of passengers at railway stations and surrounding areas.
