To clear the extra rush of passengers during the Pooja festival, special trains will be operated on the Tambaram–Santragachi route under the Train on Demand scheme. Train No. 06075 Tambaram–Santragachi Express Special will operate on October 13, 20 and 27, 2026. In the return direction, Train No. 06076 Santragachi–Tambaram Express Special will operate on October 14, 21 and 28, 2026. Three services will operate in each direction.

The trains will comprise one AC First Class-cum-AC Two Tier coach, two AC Two Tier coaches, one AC Three Tier coach, eight Sleeper Class coaches, six General Second Class coaches and two Divyangjan-friendly Second Class coaches. The services will stop at Chennai Egmore, Gudur, Nellore, Ongole, Vijayawada, Rajahmundry, Duvvada, Vizianagaram, Palasa, Brahmapur, Khurda Road, Bhubaneswar, Naraj Marthapur, Jajpur Keonjhar Road, Bhadrak, Balasore and Kharagpur. Advance reservation for these special trains will open from the Southern Railway end on October 7, 2026.
