Eastern Railway General Manager Ms. Gitika Pandey reviewed the ongoing redevelopment of Berhampore Court Station under the Amrit Bharat Station Scheme, focusing on improving passenger amenities and creating a modern, accessible and passenger-friendly station environment.

During the inspection, the General Manager reviewed both completed and ongoing works at the station, with particular attention to key passenger facilities such as toilets, drinking water arrangements, platform sheds and waiting halls. The redevelopment is aimed at providing passengers with improved facilities and a more comfortable travel experience.

Special attention was also given to Divyangjan-friendly facilities, highlighting Eastern Railway’s commitment to making railway travel more accessible, convenient and inclusive for all passengers. The focus on such amenities is intended to ensure that station facilities are convenient for passengers with different accessibility needs.

Ms. Pandey directed officials to expedite the remaining works while maintaining quality standards and ensuring timely completion. She emphasised the need to make the enhanced facilities available to passengers at the earliest.
