Railway will operate two trips of special express trains between Bengaluru Cantt and Dr. MGR Chennai Central to clear the extra rush during Ganesh Chaturthi. Train No. 06587 will operate from Bengaluru Cantt to Dr. MGR Chennai Central, while Train No. 06588 will run from Dr. MGR Chennai Central to Bengaluru Cantt. Both services are scheduled to commence their journeys on September 11 and September 12, 2026.

The trains will have stoppages at Krishnarajapuram, Bangarapet, Jolarpettai, Katpadi, Arakkonam, Tiruvallur and Perambur in both directions. Each special express train will consist of 20 coaches.
