Indian Railways has announced a one-minute temporary stoppage for five express trains at Melnariyappanur Station from 12 June 2026 to 14 June 2026 in connection with the annual feast of St. Antony Church in Kallakurichi.

Train No. 22154 Salem–Chennai Egmore Express will be provided a temporary halt from 12 June 2026 to 14 June 2026. Train No. 22153 Chennai Egmore–Salem Superfast Express will receive the additional stoppage from 11 June 2026 to 13 June 2026. Train No. 16573 Yesvantpur–Puducherry Express will halt at the station on 12 June 2026, while Train No. 16574 Puducherry–Yesvantpur Express will be provided a halt on 13 June 2026. Train No. 16856 Mangaluru Central–Puducherry Express will also receive a temporary stoppage on 12 June 2026.

The temporary stoppages have been arranged to facilitate passengers attending the annual feast of St. Antony Church in Kallakurichi.
