Ahmedabad–Bhagalpur Weekly Amrit Bharat Express to Begin Service From August 26

The Ahmedabad–Bhagalpur Weekly Amrit Bharat Express will strengthen rail connectivity between the eastern and western regions of the country, connecting Ahmedabad, the industrial hub, with Bhagalpur, the Silk City. The weekly service is being introduced to strengthen ties between the two regions and provide passengers with a convenient travel option.

Train No. 19423 will operate from Ahmedabad to Bhagalpur every Wednesday with effect from 26 August 2026 and will reach Bhagalpur on the third day. The return service, Train No. 19424, will operate from Bhagalpur to Ahmedabad every Friday with effect from 28 August 2026 and will reach Ahmedabad on the third day.

The train will stop at Abhaipur, Jamalpur and Sultanganj stations under Eastern Railway jurisdiction in both directions en route. The new service is expected to provide greater convenience and accessibility for passengers travelling between Ahmedabad and Bhagalpur. It will benefit people travelling for business, education, tourism and family visits, while also supporting stronger social, cultural and economic connections between the eastern and western parts of the country.

The service will offer passengers another convenient rail connectivity option and is expected to make inter-regional travel more accessible. Improved connectivity can also facilitate movement for trade, employment, education and other passenger needs, contributing to stronger links between the communities and regions served by the route.
