South Central Railway has announced the operation of one-way special trains between various destinations to manage the extra passenger rush during the summer season. According to the notification, Train No. 08521 will run from Visakhapatnam to Kacheguda on May 30, 2026. Train No. 08201 will operate from Bilaspur to Podanur on May 28, 2026, departing at 21:10 hrs, while Train No. 08707 will run from Durg to Ernakulam on May 30, 2026.
Railway authorities stated that the Bilaspur–Podanur Special Train will halt at Raipur, Durg, Gondia, Balharshah, Warangal, Vijayawada, Gudur, Renigunta, Katpadi, Jolarpettai, Salem, Erode and Tiruppur stations. Meanwhile, the Durg–Ernakulam Special Train will pass through Gondia, Balharshah, Warangal, Vijayawada, Gudur, Renigunta, Katpadi, Jolarpettai, Salem, Erode, Tiruppur, Podanur, Palakkad, Thrissur and Aluva stations.
The railway administration said that these special trains will consist of Sleeper and General Second Class coaches. The operation of these additional services is expected to provide relief to passengers travelling during the peak summer holiday season and help reduce congestion on regular trains.
