The Sabarmati–Jodhpur Superfast Express will be extended up to Jaisalmer from 23 May 2026, according to an announcement by Ahmedabad Division of Indian Railways. The extended service will operate as 20486 Sabarmati–Jaisalmer Superfast Express and 20485 Jaisalmer–Sabarmati Superfast Express with new halts at Osiyan, Phalodi Junction, and Ramdevra.
The extension is expected to improve rail connectivity for passengers travelling between Gujarat and western Rajasthan, while also benefiting tourists and pilgrims visiting destinations such as Jaisalmer and Ramdevra. The move is likely to provide more convenient travel options and better accessibility for people in the region.
