Western Railway to Run Special Trains Between Dadar and Prayagraj

Western Railway has announced special train services between Dadar and Prayagraj. Train No. 04140, Dadar–Prayagraj Superfast Special, will operate weekly on Sundays from 24 May 2026 to 12 July 2026. Train No. 04139, Prayagraj–Dadar Superfast Special, will run weekly on Fridays from 22 May 2026 to 10 July 2026.

The trains will halt at Borivali, Vapi, Surat, Vadodara, Ratlam, Kota, Sawai Madhopur, Gangapur City, Bayana, Rupbas, Fatehpur Sikri, Idgah, Tundla, Etawah, Govindpuri and Fatehpur stations in both directions. The rake composition will include AC 2-Tier, AC 3-Tier, Sleeper Class and General Second Class coaches. Booking for Train No. 04140 will open from 22 May 2026 at PRS counters and on the IRCTC website. The trains will operate as special trains on special fare.

The special train service is expected to provide additional travel convenience for passengers travelling between Maharashtra and Uttar Pradesh during the summer travel period. The move is likely to help manage increased passenger demand and offer more connectivity on the route.

Passengers are requested to visit the Indian Railways website (www.enquiry.indianrail.gov.in), dial 139, or download the NTES app for detailed arrival and departure timings at the respective stations.
