Western Railway has announced the regularization of special train services 09654/09653 between Bandra Terminus and Ajmer as Train Nos. 20996/20995 Bandra Terminus–Ajmer–Bandra Terminus Express. Train No. 20996 Bandra Terminus–Ajmer Express will begin operations from 24 May 2026 and will run weekly every Sunday, while Train No. 20995 Ajmer–Bandra Terminus Express will start from 23 May 2026 and will run weekly every Saturday.

According to the schedule released by Western Railway, the train will halt at Borivali, Palghar, Vapi, Valsad, Navsari, Surat, Ankleshwar, Vadodara, Godhra, Dahod, Ratlam, Jaora, Mandsor, Nimach, Chittaurgarh, Bhilwara, Bijainagar, and Nasirabad before reaching Ajmer. The service will include AC 2-Tier, AC 3-Tier, Sleeper Class, and General Second Class coaches.

Western Railway stated that booking for Train No. 20996 is open at all PRS counters and on the IRCTC website. Passengers have been advised to visit the Indian Railways enquiry website for detailed information regarding timings of halts and train composition.

Passengers are requested to visit the Indian Railways website (www.enquiry.indianrail.gov.in), dial 139, or download the NTES app for detailed arrival and departure timings at the respective stations.
