South Central Railway has announced the extension of special train services between Charlapalli and Santragachi to clear the extra rush of passengers. Train number 07221 operating from Charlapalli to Santragachi will run on Saturdays from 23 May 2026 to 27 June 2026 for a total of six trips. Train number 07222 operating from Santragachi to Charlapalli will run on Sundays from 24 May 2026 to 28 June 2026 for a total of six trips.

The extension of these special train services is expected to provide relief to passengers by offering additional travel options during the busy period. The move aims to improve passenger convenience and help manage increased travel demand on the route.
