Temporary Shifting of Terminals due to Chennai Egmore redevelopment works

Due to the ongoing Re-development Works at Chennai Egmore Railway Station the following Express Trains will continue to originate/terminate from Tambaram / Chennai Beach from 15th December, 2025 to 03rd February, 2026 are as follows:

Short Terminations of Train Services:

1. Train No. 16866 Thanjavur – Chennai Egmore Uzhavan Express leaving Thanjavur from 15th December, 2025 to 02nd February, 2026 will terminate at Tambaram. The scheduled arrival time at Tambaram is 03.45 hrs

2. Train No. 20636 Kollam – Chennai Egmore Ananthapuri Superfast Express leaving Kollam from 15th December, 2025 to 02nd February, 2026 will terminate at at Tambaram. The scheduled arrival time at Tambaram is 05.20 hrs

3. Train No. 16752 Rameswaram – Chennai Egmore Express leaving Rameswaram from 15th December, 2025 to 02nd February, 2026 will terminate at Tambaram. The scheduled arrival time at Tambaram is 06.45 hrs

4. Train No. 12760 Hyderabad – Tambaram Charminar Superfast Express leaving Hyderabad from 01st January, 2026 to 03rd February, 2026 will terminate at Chennai Beach. The scheduled arrival time at Chennai Beach is 07.00 hrs

Change in Origination of Train Services:

1. Train No. 16865 Chennai Egmore – Thanjavur Uzhavan Express will originate from Tambaram from 16th December, 2025 to 03rd February, 2026. The scheduled departure time from Tambaram is 23.00 hrs

2. Train No. 20635 Chennai Egmore – Kollam Ananthapuri Express will originate from Tambaram from 16th December, 2025 to 03rd February, 2026. The scheduled departure time from Tambaram is 20.20 hrs

3. Train No. 16751 Chennai Egmore – Rameswaram Express will originate from Tambaram from 16th December, 2025 to 03rd February, 2026. The scheduled departure time from Tambaram is 19.42 hrs

4. Train No. 22158 Chennai Egmore – Mumbai CSMT Superfast Express will originate from Chennai Beach from 16th December, 2025 to 03rd February, 2026. The scheduled departure time from Chennai Beach is 06.45 hrs

5. Train No. 12759 Tambaram – Hyderabad Charminar Superfast Express will originate from Chennai Beach from 31st December, 2025 to 02nd February, 2026. The scheduled departure time from Chennai Beach is 18.20 hrs

Diversion of Train Services:

1. Train No. 09419 Ahmedabad – Tiruchchirappalli Weekly Express Special scheduled to leave Ahmedabad at 09.30hrs on 8th,December, 2025, to 29th January, 2026 (Thursdays) will be diverted to run via Renigunta, Arakkonam north, Melpakkam, Katpadi, Vellore, and Villupuram skipping stoppages Arakkonam, Perambur, Chennai Egmore, Tambaram, and Chengalpattu, Additional stoppage will be provided at Tiruttani Timing (arr/dep) (13.00/13/05).

2. Train No. 09420 Tiruchchirappalli – Ahmedabad Weekly Express Special scheduled to leave Tiruchchirappalli at 05.45hrs on 21st,December, 2025 to 01st February, 2026 (Sundays) will be diverted to run via Vellore, Katpadi, Melpakkam , Tiruttani, Renigunta, skipping stoppages Chengalpattu, Tambaram, Chennai Egmore, Perambur, and Arakkonam, Additional stoppages will be provided at Tiruttani Timing (arr/dep) (15.15-15.20)
