Shri Arun Kumar Jain, General Manager, South Central Railway, undertook an inspection of the Gudur–Nellore–Vijayawada section of Vijayawada Division on 20th November, 2024. He was accompanied by Shri Narendra Patil, Divisional Railway Manager, Vijayawada Division, and other senior officials throughout the inspection.

The inspection commenced at Gudur Railway Station, where he reviewed passenger amenities and facilities, inspected the Station Master’s office and circulating area, and inaugurated a new RPF (Railway Protection Force) post. He also planted saplings at the station to promote a green environment. Following this, a rear window inspection was conducted from Gudur to Vijayawada, during which the safety aspects of signalling and tracks were examined.

At Nellore Railway Station, the General Manager conducted a detailed inspection of the Station Master’s office, circulating area, and passenger amenities. The ongoing major upgradation works at the station were also reviewed, with divisional officials presenting a detailed progress report. He advised them to expedite the work to meet the targeted completion date.

Later, the GM inspected Chirala Railway Station, reviewed passenger amenities, inaugurated another new RPF post, and planted saplings. During the visit, he also interacted with media personnel and briefed them on the development plans being undertaken by South Central Railway.
