Southern Railway has announced Pooja Festival special trains between Chennai Egmore and Kollam under a weekly express special service. Train No. 06117 will operate from Chennai Egmore to Kollam on five Thursdays—October 1, 8, 15, 22 and 29, 2026. The return service, Train No. 06118, will operate from Kollam to Chennai Egmore on five Fridays—October 2, 9, 16, 23 and 30, 2026. Each direction will have five services.

Train No. 06117 will run from Chennai Egmore to Kollam, with stops at Perambur, Tiruvallur, Arakkonam, Katpadi, Jolarpettai, Salem, Erode, Tiruppur, Podanur, Palakkad, Thrissur, Aluva, Ernakulam Town, Kottayam, Changanasseri, Tiruvalla, Chengannur, Mavelikara and Kayamkulam before reaching Kollam.

Train No. 06118 will operate from Kollam to Chennai Egmore, covering Kottayam, Changanasseri, Tiruvalla, Chengannur, Mavelikara, Kayamkulam, Ernakulam Town, Aluva, Thrissur, Palakkad, Podanur, Tiruppur, Erode, Salem, Jolarpettai, Katpadi, Arakkonam, Tiruvallur and Perambur before terminating at Chennai Egmore.
