Northeast Frontier Railway has decided to continue the operation of Train Nos. 06571/06572 Yesvantpur–Katihar–Yesvantpur Special with the existing stoppages and revised timings to clear the extra rush of passengers during the festive season in 2026. Train No. 06571 Yesvantpur Junction–Katihar Junction Special will have an extended period from 22 September 2026 to 24 November 2026, covering 10 trips and operating on Tuesdays. Train No. 06572 Katihar Junction–Yesvantpur Junction Special will run from 25 September 2026 to 27 November 2026, covering 10 trips and operating on Fridays.

The listed stoppages for Train No. 06571 are Dankuni, Barddhaman Junction, Bolpur Shantiniketan, Rampur Hat, Pakur, Malda Town, Samsi, Kumedpur and Katihar Junction. For Train No. 06572, the listed stations are Katihar Junction, Kumedpur, Samsi, Malda Town, Pakur, Rampur Hat, Bolpur Shantiniketan, Barddhaman Junction and Dankuni.

The composition of the special train will comprise 1 AC 2-Tier coach, 3 AC 3-Tier coaches, 10 Sleeper Class coaches, 8 General Second Class coaches and 2 SLR coaches, making a total of 24 coaches.
