Southern Railway has announced Onam Special weekly train services between Thiruvananthapuram North and Mangaluru Junction to accommodate the expected increase in passenger demand during the Onam festival season and provide additional travel options for commuters. The special services are aimed at facilitating smoother and more convenient travel for passengers visiting their hometowns or returning after the festivities.

Train No. 06093 will operate from Thiruvananthapuram North to Mangaluru Junction, departing at 09:00 hrs on 12th, 19th, and 26th August, and 2nd September 2026 (Wednesdays), reaching Mangaluru Junction at 21:00 hrs the same day. Train No. 06094 will operate from Mangaluru Junction to Thiruvananthapuram North, departing at 15:15 hrs on 13th, 20th, and 27th August, and 3rd September 2026 (Thursdays), arriving at Thiruvananthapuram Central at 05:30 hrs the following day. Both services will run four times.

Advance reservation for these special trains will open at 08:00 hrs on 11.07.2026 from the Southern Railway end. The poster also carries the message, "Safe Journeys. Happy Onam!" and extends Onam greetings to passengers and their families.
