Good News for Rail Travellers! SCR Extends Weekly Special Trains Till September 2026

South Central Railway (SCR) has announced the extension of weekly special train services between various destinations to clear the extra rush of passengers. A total of 132 special train services have been extended up to September 2026, providing additional travel capacity on several important routes across the country.

According to the announcement, Train No. 07046 Secunderabad–Naharlagun Weekly Special will run every Friday from 03 July 2026 to 25 September 2026, covering 13 services, while Train No. 07047 Naharlagun–Secunderabad Weekly Special will operate every Monday from 06 July 2026 to 28 September 2026, also covering 13 services.

Similarly, Train No. 07221 Charlapalli–Santragachi Weekly Special will run every Saturday from 04 July 2026 to 26 September 2026 for 13 services, and Train No. 07222 Santragachi–Charlapalli Weekly Special will operate every Sunday from 05 July 2026 to 27 September 2026, covering 13 services.

The railway has also extended Train No. 07193 Hyderabad Deccan–Kollam Weekly Special, which will run every Saturday from 04 July 2026 to 26 September 2026 for 13 services, and Train No. 07194 Kollam–Hyderabad Deccan Weekly Special, which will operate every Monday from 06 July 2026 to 28 September 2026, covering 13 services.

In addition, Train No. 07425 Secunderabad–Srikakulam Road Weekly Special will run every Sunday from 05 July 2026 to 27 September 2026 for 13 services, while Train No. 07426 Srikakulam Road–Secunderabad Weekly Special will operate every Monday from 06 July 2026 to 28 September 2026, also covering 13 services.

Further, Train No. 07814 Jalna–Tirupati Weekly Special will run every Thursday from 02 July 2026 to 24 September 2026, covering 14 services, and Train No. 07815 Tirupati–Jalna Weekly Special will operate every Friday from 03 July 2026 to 25 September 2026, also covering 14 services.

The extension of these weekly special trains is expected to benefit passengers by providing additional berths and travel options on high-demand routes. The move is aimed at easing passenger congestion, reducing waiting lists, and ensuring more convenient travel during periods of increased demand across the South Central Railway network.South Central Railway Extends Weekly Special Train Services on Multiple Routes Until September 2026

The extensions will operate on their respective scheduled days from early July 2026 through late September 2026, with most services running for 13 trips and the Jalna–Tirupati pair operating 14 trips each.

The extension of these special services is expected to provide additional travel options for passengers and help accommodate increased demand on key long-distance routes. The move aims to improve travel convenience, reduce waiting lists, and ensure smoother passenger movement during periods of higher travel demand across the railway network.
