Indian Railways has announced a Summer Special Weekly Train service between Tambaram and Bodinayakkanur to facilitate passenger travel during the holiday season. Train number 06059 will operate from Tambaram to Bodinayakkanur on every Saturday from May 23, 2026, to June 13, 2026, covering four trips in total. The train will depart from Tambaram at 22:30 hrs and arrive at Bodinayakkanur at 11:15 hrs the next day.

Similarly, train number 06060 will run from Bodinayakkanur to Tambaram on every Sunday from May 24, 2026, to June 14, 2026, also for four trips. The train will depart from Bodinayakkanur at 16:45 hrs and reach Tambaram at 06:30 hrs the following day. Railway authorities stated that reservation for the special trains will open at 08:00 hrs on May 21, 2026.

The special train service is expected to provide additional travel convenience for passengers during the summer vacation period. The service will help manage increased travel demand, reduce crowding in regular trains, and improve connectivity between the two destinations, ensuring a safer and more comfortable journey for passengers.
