Amritsar–New Jalpaiguri Special Trains Extended to Manage Extra Passenger Rush

In view of the additional passenger rush, Northeast Frontier Railway has decided to extend the periodicity of special train services between Amritsar and New Jalpaiguri. The trains will continue to operate with their existing days of service, timings, stoppages, and compositions. A total of four trips have been approved under this extension.

04654 Amritsar–New Jalpaiguri Special: Extension from 04 March to 25 March 2026

Train number 04654 running from Amritsar to New Jalpaiguri has been extended for the period from 04-03-2026 to 25-03-2026.

04653 New Jalpaiguri–Amritsar Special: Extension from 06 March to 27 March 2026

In the return direction, train number 04653 operating from New Jalpaiguri to Amritsar has been extended from 06-03-2026 to 27-03-2026.

The extension aims to facilitate smoother travel arrangements while addressing the increased passenger demand on the Amritsar–New Jalpaiguri route.
