Central Railway to run 4 Special Train Services between Mumbai to Nagpur / Madgaon to cater to passengers’ demand

Central Railway has announced the operation of four special train services to meet the increased demand for travel between Mumbai and Nagpur as well as between Mumbai and Madgaon. These services include two trips between Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus (CSMT) and Nagpur and two trips between Lokmanya Tilak Terminus (LTT) and Madgaon.

Train number 02139 will depart from CSMT on 25 January 2026 at 00.20 hrs and reach Nagpur at 15.30 hrs the same day. In the return direction train number 02140 will leave Nagpur on 25 January 2026 at 20.00 hrs and arrive at CSMT at 13.30 hrs the following day. This train will halt at major stations including Dadar, Thane, Kalyan, Nashik Road, Bhusaval, Akola, and Wardha. The composition includes AC 2-Tier, AC 3-Tier, Sleeper Class, and General Second Class coaches.

Train number 01129 will depart from LTT on 25 January 2026 at 01.00 hrs and reach Madgaon at 12.00 hrs the same day. For the return journey train number 01130 will depart Madgaon on 25 January 2026 at 14.30 hrs and arrive at LTT at 04.05 hrs the next day. Key halts for this service include Panvel, Roha, Chiplun, Ratnagiri, Kankavali, and Sawantwadi Road.

Bookings for these special trains opened on 23 January 2026 at all PRS locations and on the IRCTC website. Unreserved coach tickets can be booked through the UTS system. Passengers are encouraged to check the NTES app or the official railway inquiry website for detailed timings at all halts.
