In order to clear extra rush of passengers during the forthcoming Dasara, Deepavali, and Chhath festivals, South Western Railway has decided to run special trains between Mysuru – Ramanathapuram, Mysuru – Tirunelveli and Mysuru – Karaikudi as detailed below:
1. Train No. 06237/06238 Mysuru – Ramanathapuram – Mysuru Express Special (7 trips):
Train No. 06237 Mysuru – Ramanathapuram Express Special will depart from Mysuru at 06:35 p.m. every Monday from 15.09.2025 to 27.10.2025, and will reach Ramanathapuram at 10:00 a.m. the next day. In the return direction, Train No. 06238 Ramanathapuram – Mysuru Express Special will depart Ramanathapuram at 03:10 p.m. every Tuesday from 16.09.2025 to 28.10.2025, and will arrive at Mysuru at 07:45 a.m. the following day.
Enroute, the train will have stoppages at Mandya, Ramanagaram, Kengeri, KSR Bengaluru, Bengaluru Cantonment, Hosur, Dharmapuri, Salem, Namakkal, Karur, Dindigul, Madurai, Manamadurai, and Paramakkudi stations in both directions.
The train will have 21 coaches comprising 2 AC 2-tier, 5 AC 3-tier, 8 Sleeper Class, 4 General Second Class Coaches, 1 Luggage-cum-Brake/Disabled Coach, and 1 Luggage-cum-Brake/Generator Car.
2. Train No. 06239/06240 Mysuru – Tirunelveli – Mysuru Express Special (11 trips):
Train No. 06239 Mysuru – Tirunelveli Express Special will depart from Mysuru at 08:15 p.m. every Monday from 15.09.2025 to 24.11.2025, and will reach Tirunelveli at 10:50 a.m. the next day. In the return direction, Train No. 06240 Tirunelveli – Mysuru Express Special will depart from Tirunelveli at 03:40 p.m. every Tuesday from 16.09.2025 to 25.11.2025, and will arrive at Mysuru at 05:40 a.m. the following day.
Enroute, the train will have stoppages at Mandya, Ramanagaram, Kengeri, KSR Bengaluru, Bengaluru Cant, Krishnarajapuram, Bangarapet, Salem, Namakkal, Karur, Dindigul, Kodaikkanal Road, Madurai, Virudunagar, Satur, and Kovilpatti in both directions.
The train will have 20 coaches comprising 1 AC 2-tier, 3 AC 3-tier, 10 Sleeper Class, 4 General Second Class and 2 SLR/D coaches.
