In order to clear the extra rush of passengers during Durga Puja, Diwali and Chhath festivals, Northeast Frontier Railway has notified the running of Festival Special Trains between New Tinsukia and Sir M. Visvesvaraya Terminal, Bengaluru for seven trips in each direction. The details are as follows:
Train No. 05952 New Tinsukia – SMVT Bengaluru Festival Special will depart from New Tinsukia at 18:45 hrs every Thursday from 18.09.2025 to 30.10.2025 and will arrive SMVT Bengaluru at 09:30 hrs on Sunday. In the return direction, Train No. 05951 SMVT Bengaluru – New Tinsukia Festival Special will leave SMVT Bengaluru at 23:50 hrs every Sunday from 21.09.2025 to 02.11.2025 and will reach New Tinsukia at 16:25 hrs on Wednesday.
Enroute Stoppages: The train will halt at Dibrugarh, Dhemaji, North Lakhimpur, Harmuti, Vishwanath Charali, Rangapara North, Rangiya, Barpeta Road, New Bongaigaon, Kokrajhar, New Cooch Behar, New Jalpaiguri, Aluabari Road, Kishanganj, Malda Town, New Farakka, Rampur Hat, Bolpur (Shantiniketan), Barddhaman, Andul, Kharagpur, Brahmapur, Palasa, Srikakulam Road, Chipurupalli, Vizianagaram, Kottavalasa, Duvvada, Rajahmundry, Vijayawada, Ongole, Nellore, Gudur, Perambur, Katpadi, Jolarpettai, Bangarapet, Whitefield and Krishnarajapuram in both directions.
Coach Composition: The train will consist of 20 coaches including 2 AC 2-tier, 16 Sleeper Class and 2 SLRD coaches.
