To manage the anticipated surge in passenger traffic during the festive season, Eastern Railway has announced the operation of "Puja Special" trains connecting Kolkata and New Jalpaiguri. This initiative is set to generate an additional 19,550 berths, providing significant relief for travelers.

The special services will run for a total of 20 trips in both directions between late September and early December 2025.

From Kolkata to New Jalpaiguri

• Days of Operation: Every Sunday, from September 28, 2025, to November 30, 2025.
• Departure (Kolkata): 23:40 hrs (Sunday)
• Arrival (New Jalpaiguri): 10:45 hrs (Monday)

From New Jalpaiguri to Kolkata

• Train Number: 03130
• Days of Operation: Every Monday, from September 29, 2025, to December 1, 2025.
• Departure (New Jalpaiguri): 12:45 hrs (Monday)
• Arrival (Kolkata): 00:40 hrs (Tuesday)

Important Information for Passengers

• Coach Composition: The train will offer a range of travel classes, including General Second Class, Sleeper Class, and Air-Conditioned accommodations.
• Stoppages: The special train will halt at Naihati, Bandel, Nabadwip Dham, Katwa, Azimganj Jn., Jangipur Road, Malda Town, Barsoi, Kishanganj, and Aluabari Road stations in both directions.
