In a move aimed at strengthening railway safety, operational efficiency and workforce development, Eastern Railway on Sunday inaugurated its first Multi-Disciplinary Divisional Training Institute (MDDTI)-cum-Computer Based Training (CBT) Centre at Beliaghata in Sealdah.
The facility was inaugurated by Eastern Railway General Manager Milind Deouskar in the presence of Seema Deouskar, President of the Eastern Railway Women's Welfare Organisation (ERWWO), along with the Additional General Manager, Principal Chief Personnel Officer, Divisional Railway Manager of Sealdah, senior heads of departments and divisional officers.
The upgraded training institute is equipped with advanced simulators, Kavach integration, a TIB laboratory and smart classrooms to enhance technical training for employees from the Operating, Engineering, Signal and Telecommunication (S&T), and Electrical departments. The initiative is aimed at improving technical competence, strengthening safety standards and enhancing the efficiency of frontline railway operations.
