The Delhi Division of Indian Railways conducts ticket checking drives regularly as part of its efforts to curb ticketless travel and unauthorized entry into trains. These drives resulted in apprehending of numerous individuals and the recovery of fines. The drives are conducted with the goal of ensuring passengers travel with valid tickets and preventing unauthorized access to trains. The without ticket passengers not only cause loss of Railway revenue but infringe upon the rights of passengers travelling with valid tickets.
The Delhi Division conducted a ticket checking drive at Anand Vihar Terminal and New Delhi Railway Stations on 11.7.2026 to detect and penalize ticketless passengers. During the check, total of 111 passengers without ticket and irregular ticket cases were detected and railway revenue of Rs. 1,11,700/- was collected.
Delhi Division, Northern Railway is conducting various ticket check drives to curb Ticketless Travellers, unauthorised persons in Ticketed areas. Sh. Pushpesh Raman Tripathi, Divisional Railway Manager, Delhi emphasized the importance of travelling with valid tickets and urged passengers to cooperate with ticket checking staff.
