The Patna Metro project marked a significant achievement on 11 March with the successful completion of a tunneling drive between Gandhi Maidan and Patna Junction Shaft, covering a distance of 1.7 km.

The event was graced by Hon’ble Chief Minister of Bihar, Shri Nitish Kumar, and Hon’ble Minister for Urban Development and Housing, Shri Jibesh Kumar. Delhi Metro Rail Corporation’s (DMRC) Managing Director, Dr. Vikas Kumar, was also present on the occasion.

This progress brings the city closer to a modern, efficient urban transport system. The completion of the tunnel will pave the way for further developments in the metro network, enhancing connectivity and easing congestion in the capital.
