More than 1.65 Lakh Pilgrims Travelled Through Kumbh Special Trains from Various Stations Across WR

Indian Railways is playing an important role in making the journey of the pilgrims and devotees gathering at the Maha Kumbh Mela a pleasant and spiritual experience. Western Railway is operating 125 trips of special trains from various stations of WR, including Mumbai Central, Vapi, Valsad, Udhna, Vadodara, Vishwamitri, Ahmedabad, Sabarmati, Bhavnagar, Rajkot, Indore, etc., to cater to the huge rush of pilgrims proceeding to attend the Kumbh Mela.

According to a press release issued by the Chief Public Relations Officer of Western Railway, the Kumbh Mela is attracting millions of devotees from across the country, and Western Railway's special trains have played a crucial role in facilitating the movement of the devotees. These special trains are being run to Prayagraj, as well as other nearby railway stations, with thousands of devotees availing the services to reach the Kumbh Mela. Till date, WR has carried more than 1.65 lakh pilgrims through these Kumbh special trains.

26 trips of Kumbh special trains are being run from the Mumbai Central Division, 24 trips from the Ahmedabad Division, 8 trips from the Bhavnagar Division, 4 trips from the Rajkot Division, 2 trips from the Vadodara Division, and 6 trips from the Ratlam Division.

Indian Railways is providing the best services to the pilgrims attending the Maha Kumbh Mela 2025. The railway administration is working tirelessly to ensure that the devotees have a safe and comfortable journey to and from the Kumbh Mela.
