Union Minister for Railways, Information & Broadcasting, and Electronics & Information Technology, Shri Ashwini Vaishnaw, will participate in the World Economic Forum (WEF) 2025 at Davos. His visit underscores India's commitment to driving inclusive growth and transformative development, as envisioned by Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi.

Before departing, Shri Vaishnaw highlighted India’s progress in ensuring development for all sections of society, particularly those historically excluded. He stated, “The Prime Minister has focused on inclusive development that brings transformative changes to the lives of those at the bottom of the pyramid. From financial inclusion through bank accounts to providing essential services like toilets, gas connections, tap water, and improving rural and urban infrastructure, this is something the world wants to understand.”

During the WEF discussions, Shri Vaishnaw will focus on India’s model of inclusive growth, which emphasizes investments in social, physical, and digital infrastructure, as well as democratizing technology for all citizens. He noted that the forum would delve into these issues, which have become central to India’s development trajectory.

India’s Digital Revolution will also be a significant topic at the forum. Shri Vaishnaw emphasized the global interest in India’s transformative digital journey, particularly through the Digital India initiative. He stated, “The world is keen to understand India’s economic policies, the digital transformation under Digital India, and how technology has been democratized to empower citizens across all strata of society.” India’s innovative digital architecture has set a global benchmark for using technology to foster inclusive development.

India’s participation in WEF 2025 aims to strengthen global partnerships, attract investment, and position India as a leader in sustainable development and technological innovation on the world stage.
