Shri S. S. Mishra took over as the General Manager of Rail Coach Factory (RCF), Kapurthala, on November 29, 2024. A distinguished officer from the 1988 batch of the Indian Railway Service of Mechanical Engineers (IRSME), he holds postgraduate degrees in Mechanical Engineering and Management from IIT Chennai.

In his introductory meeting with departmental heads, Sh. Mishra appreciated RCF's significant contribution to Indian Railways. Highlighting the factory's role in modernizing rail coaches, he remarked, "RCF has played a pivotal role in transforming Indian Railways by introducing new technologies in rail coaches."

Under his leadership, RCF is expected to continue its innovation in rail technology and bolster its contribution to enhancing passenger experience and operational efficiency.
