Adding a unique attraction to the city, a Rail Coach Restaurant was inaugurated on the Brahmaputra riverfront at Uzanbazar, Guwahati. The launch event was led by Shri Chetan Kumar Shrivastava, General Manager of Northeast Frontier Railway (NFR), along with the DRM Lumding and other senior officials.

The restaurant is housed in a converted rail coach, offering visitors a distinctive dining experience with a railway-inspired ambiance. Positioned strategically at the riverfront, it aims to attract both locals and tourists, enhancing Guwahati's appeal as a cultural and recreational hub.

This initiative showcases Indian Railways' efforts to create innovative public spaces while promoting engagement and tourism in the region.
