Minister of State for Railways Visits Chenab Bridge, Boosting Hopes for Connectivity and Growth

Hon'ble Minister of State for Railways, Shri Ravneet Singh Bittu, visited the iconic Chenab Bridge in the Reasi district of Jammu & Kashmir. The bridge, connecting Bakkal and Kauri, is the world’s highest railway bridge and a marvel of engineering excellence.

Shri Bittu was accompanied by senior railway officials during the visit. He reviewed the progress and operational preparedness of the bridge, which is a key segment of the Udhampur-Srinagar-Baramulla Rail Link (USBRL) project.

The Minister commended the efforts of railway engineers and workers for constructing this strategic infrastructure under challenging terrain and weather conditions. The Chenab Bridge symbolizes India's engineering prowess and is expected to significantly enhance connectivity in the region, boosting tourism and economic opportunities.

Shri Bittu also interacted with officials to discuss the bridge’s safety, operational efficiency, and its role in fostering regional development. The visit reflects the Ministry’s commitment to completing transformative projects in India’s rail network.
