Sh. V. Somanna, Minister of State for Railways,  reviewed the redevelopment proposal for KSR Bengaluru Railway Station in a meeting with senior officials from the Railway Land Development Authority (RLDA) and the Railway Board.

The redevelopment project aims to transform KSR Bengaluru into a modern icon of the city, reflecting Bengaluru’s global stature. The station will be equipped with state-of-the-art, passenger-friendly facilities and enhanced amenities to provide a world-class travel experience.

Key features of the proposed redevelopment include upgraded waiting lounges, seamless ticketing systems, energy-efficient infrastructure, and improved accessibility for passengers, ensuring comfort and convenience for all.Sh. V. Somanna emphasized the importance of timely execution and ensuring the project aligns with the aspirations of Bengaluru’s citizens. The plan reflects the government’s commitment to enhancing urban connectivity while preserving the station’s historical significance.Once completed, KSR Bengaluru Railway Station is expected to emerge as a landmark destination, further bolstering the city's reputation as a thriving metropolitan hub.
