Railway has announced special train services to facilitate passengers travelling during the festive season of Diwali and Chhath Puja. The railway has introduced two special trains, numbered 08105 and 08106, connecting Rourkela and Jhajharpur to provide additional travel facilities for passengers during the festive period.

Train No. 08105, operating as the Rourkela–Jhajharpur Special, will run from Rourkela to Jhajharpur every Thursday between November 5 and November 19, 2026. In the return direction, Train No. 08106, the Jhajharpur–Rourkela Special, will operate every Friday between November 6 and November 20, 2026.

The special train services will provide connectivity to several important stations along the route. The trains will stop at Bano, Hatia, Ranchi, Muri and Bokaro Steel City, all falling under the jurisdiction of South Eastern Railway. These additional services are intended to provide greater convenience and travel options for passengers travelling between the connected destinations during the Diwali and Chhath Puja festive season.
