The Northeast Frontier Railway has announced special train services between Firozpur Cantt. and Purnea Jn. to manage the additional passenger rush expected during the upcoming festive season-2026. The special services are intended to provide additional travel capacity for passengers travelling between the two destinations during the festive period.

Train No. 04634, operating from Firozpur Cantt. to Purnea Jn., will run from 8 October 2026 to 26 November 2026 on Thursdays. In the reverse direction, Train No. 04633, operating from Purnea Jn. to Firozpur Cantt., will run from 10 October 2026 to 28 November 2026 on Saturdays. The services will operate with 08+08 trips.

The special trains will provide stoppages at Makhu, Lohian Khas Jn., Nakodar Jn., Phillaur Jn., Dhandari Kalan, Chandigarh, Ambala Cantt., Yamunanagar Jagadhri, Saharanpur Jn., Moradabad, Bareilly, Shahjehanpur Jn., Sitapur Jn., Gonda Jn., Gorakhpur Jn., Chhapra, Sonpur Jn., Hajipur Jn., Shahpur Patoree, Barauni Jn., Begusarai, Khagaria Jn., Mansi Jn., Naugachia and Katihar Jn.

According to the railway announcement, the train composition will include 5 AC-3 Tier coaches, 6 Sleeper Class coaches, 5 General Class coaches, 1 Luggage/Generator/Brake Van and 1 LSLRD coach. The additional services are being introduced specifically to accommodate the extra rush of passengers during the festive season.
