Southern Railway has announced Train No. 06021/06022, the Podanur–Barauni–Podanur Express Special. Train No. 06021 will operate from Podanur to Barauni on 4, 11, 18 and 25 October and 1 November 2026, while Train No. 06022 will operate from Barauni to Podanur on 7, 14, 21 and 28 October and 4 November 2026. The services are five trips in each direction.

The Podanur–Barauni service covers the stations Podanur, Tiruppur, Erode, Salem, Jolarpettai, Katpadi, Perambur, Gudur, Nellore, Ongole, Vijayawada, Khammam, Warangal, Sirpur Kaghaznagar, Balharshah, Chandrapur, Nagpur, Betul, Itarsi, Pipariya, Gadarwara, Jabalpur, Katni, Maihar, Satna, Manikpur, Prayagraj Chheoki, Chunar, Pt Deen Dayal Upadhyaya, Buxar, Ara, Danapur, Patliputra, Sonpur, Hajipur, Shahpur and Barauni. The return service follows the same listed stations in the reverse direction, from Barauni to Podanur.
