To clear the extra rush of passengers during the upcoming Durga Puja, Diwali and Chhath festivals, Eastern Railway has decided to operate special trains between Kolkata and Lalkuan.
Train No. 05060, the Lalkuan–Kolkata Special, will operate for eight trips every Thursday between October 8 and November 26, 2026. In the opposite direction, Train No. 05059, the Kolkata–Lalkuan Special, will operate for eight trips every Saturday between October 10 and November 28, 2026.
The special train will have stoppages at Naihati, Bandel, Barddhaman, Durgapur, Asansol, Chittaranjan, Madhupur and Jasidih stations under Eastern Railway jurisdiction in both directions en route. The services will offer General Second Class, Sleeper Class and Air-Conditioning accommodation for passengers.
Passengers are requested to visit the Indian Railways website (www.enquiry.indianrail.gov.in), dial 139, or download the NTES app for detailed arrival and departure timings at the respective stations.
