Train No. 19223 Sabarmati–Jammu Tawi Express has been extended up to Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Katra station. The extended service will commence from 18 October 2026, while the return service, Train No. 19224 Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Katra–Sabarmati Express, will commence from 20 October 2026.

Train No. 19223 will operate daily from Sabarmati to Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Katra, with Palanpur as an intermediate station. The return service, Train No. 19224, will operate daily from Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Katra to Sabarmati.

With the extension of the train, additional stoppages will also be provided at Samba, Bari Brahman and Shaheed Captain Tushar Mahajan stations. These additional stoppages will provide greater accessibility and connectivity for passengers travelling along the route.

The extension of the service up to Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Katra will offer passengers a more convenient rail connection to the important pilgrimage destination and improve travel connectivity between the regions served by the train. The additional stoppages are also expected to make rail travel more accessible for passengers from the surrounding areas.

Booking for Train No. 19223 will be available from 21 August 2026 at all PRS counters and through the IRCTC website. The service extension and additional stoppages will provide passengers with more convenient travel options and improved access to important destinations along the route.
