The South Western Railway (SWR) will operate two special express train trips between Bengaluru and Belagavi to clear the extra rush. Train No. 06551, SMVT Bengaluru–Belagavi Special Express, will commence its journey from SMVT Bengaluru on August 20 and August 22, 2026. Train No. 06552, Belagavi–SMVT Bengaluru Special Express, will commence its journey from Belagavi on August 21 and August 23, 2026.

The special trains will operate in both directions and will have stoppages at Chikbanavar, Tumakuru, Arsikere, Birur, Davangere, Harihar, SMM Haveri, SSS Hubballi, Dharwad, Alnavar, Londa and Khanapur stations. The trains will consist of 19 coaches.
