East Coast Railway has announced Rath Yatra Special Trains between Kolkata and Khurda Road under the banner “Special Train on Demand” to meet increased passenger demand during Rath Yatra 2026. Train 03101 (Kolkata–Khurda Road) will operate on 13, 14, 15, 21, 22, and 23 July 2026, while train 03102 (Khurda Road–Kolkata) will run on 14, 17, 18, 22, 25, and 26 July 2026. Train 03101 departs Kolkata at 23:50 and arrives at Khurda Road at 09:35, stopping at Andul, Kharagpur, Balasore, Bhadrak, Jajpur Keonjhar Road, Cuttack, and Bhubaneswar. Train 03102 departs Khurda Road at 15:40 and arrives at Kolkata at 02:00, with stops at Bhubaneswar, Cuttack, Jajpur Keonjhar Road, Bhadrak, Balasore, Kharagpur, and Andul. The coach composition is listed as 3 AC, 4 Sleeper, 10 General, 6 Luggage-cum-Disabled Friendly, and 2 Second Class coaches.
The additional special train services are expected to provide greater travel convenience for devotees and other passengers during the Rath Yatra period by offering extra capacity on a busy route. The initiative is aimed at helping accommodate the anticipated surge in passenger demand and easing travel during the festival season.
