The Northeast Frontier Railway (NFR) has announced the operation of a special train service connecting New Jalpaiguri and Balurghat to manage additional passenger demand during April 2026. The service will run with a total of 03 trips in each direction.
Train number 05756 will operate from New Jalpaiguri to Balurghat on Saturdays, with scheduled services on 11.04.2026, 18.04.2026, and 25.04.2026. The train will depart from New Jalpaiguri at 22:05 and arrive at Balurghat at 04:00 the following day.
In the return direction, train number 05755 will run from Balurghat to New Jalpaiguri on Sundays, covering 12.04.2026, 19.04.2026, and 26.04.2026. It will depart from Balurghat at 05:30 and reach New Jalpaiguri at 13:00.
The train will consist of a total of 22 coaches, including 20 General Second Class coaches, one Brake cum Luggage cum Generator Car, and one SLRD coach.
En route, the special train will halt at Aluabari Road, Kishanganj, Dalkhola, Barsoi Junction, Harischandrapur, Samsi, Eklakhi, and Buniadpur stations, providing connectivity across key intermediate locations.
This temporary service aims to facilitate smoother travel for passengers along the route and accommodate increased demand during the specified period.
