South Western Railway has decided to operate a one-trip special express train between Sir M. Visvesvaraya Terminal (SMVT) Bengaluru and Kannur to clear the extra rush of passengers during the Christmas festival season.
Train No. 06575/06576 SMVT Bengaluru–Kannur–SMVT Bengaluru Express Special (One Trip):
- Train No. 06575 will leave Sir M. Visvesvaraya Terminal Bengaluru at 16:35 hrs on Wednesday, 24th December 2025, and will reach Kannur at 07:50 hrs on Thursday, 25th December 2025.
- Train No. 06576 will depart Kannur at 10:00 hrs on Thursday, 25th December 2025, and will arrive at Sir M. Visvesvaraya Terminal Bengaluru at 00:15 hrs on Friday, 26th December 2025.
En route, the train will stop at Krishnarajapuram, Bangarapet, Salem, Erode, Tiruppur, Podanur, Palakkad, Shoranur, Tirur, Kozhikode, Vadakara, and Thalassery stations in both directions.
The special train will have 18 coaches comprising AC 3-Tier (2), Sleeper Class (08), General Second Class coaches (6), and SLR/D Coaches (2).
