Introduction of Amrit Bharat Express between Erode and Jogbani (Bihar)

The Ministry of Railways has approved the introduction of Train No. 16601/16602 Erode–Jogbani–Erode Amrit Bharat Express (Weekly).

The inaugural run of Jogbani – Erode Amrit Bharat Express will be flagged off by Shri Narendra Modi, Hon’ble Prime Minister from Jogbani Railway Station o­n 15.09.2025 (Monday) as Train No. 06602 Jogbani - Erode Amrit Bharat Inaugural Special.   Jogbani, located in Bihar o­n the Indo-Nepal border serves as the gateway to Nepal.  The new train service will offer seamless connectivity between Southern states and the state of Bihar.

Train No. 06602 Jogbani – Erode Amrit Bharat Express inaugural special will leave Jogbani at 15.30 hrs o­n 15th September 2025, run via important stations such as Purnea, Hajipur PT. Deen Dayal Uppadhyaya, Satna, Katni, Nagpur, Balharshal, o­ngole, Gudur and Southern Railway destinations such as Nayudupeta,  Perambur, Arakkonam, Katpadi, Jolarpettai and Salem before reaching the final destination Erode at 07.00 hrs o­n 18th September 2025. 

Coach Composition: o­ne Amrit Bharat rake (push-pull) with Sleeper Class (Non-AC)—8 coaches, General Second Class (Unreserved)-11 coaches, Luggage-cum-Brake Van (Differently-abled friendly) – 2 coaches, Pantry Car – 1 coach

The regular service of Train No.16601/16602 Erode-Jogbani-Erode Amrit Bharat Express will be notified shortly.
