In a move aimed at enhancing passenger convenience, Northern Railway has introduced new stoppages for several trains. The decision, effective from September 1, 2025, will benefit commuters on various routes across the network.

The new stoppages will be implemented for the following trains:

• 18237 Korba - Amritsar Jn. Chhattisgarh Express and 18238 Amritsar Jn. - Bilaspur Jn. Chhattisgarh Express will now halt at Hatbandh.
• 18477 Puri - Yog Nagari Rishikesh Kalinga Utkal Express and 18478 Puri - Yog Nagari Rishikesh Kalinga Utkal Express will make a stop at Belgahna.
• 20808 Amritsar Jn. - Visakhapatnam Jn. Hirakud Express will stop at Belpahar.
• 20807 Visakhapatnam Jn. - Amritsar Jn. Hirakud Express will halt at Belpahar, with this stoppage effective from September 2, 2025.
• 15160 Durg Jn. - Chhapra Jn. Sarnath Express and 15159 Chhapra Jn. - Durg Jn. Sarnath Express will have new stoppages at Belha, Belgahna, and Chandia Road.
• 22537 Gorakhpur Jn. - Lokmanya Tilak (T.) Kushinagar Superfast Express will now stop at Devlali.
• 22538 Lokmanya Tilak (T.) - Gorakhpur Jn. Kushinagar Superfast Express will also halt at Devlali.
