The railway administration has announced the immediate suspension of rail traffic between the Kathua and Madhopur Punjab sections due to severe waterlogging and flooding caused by heavy rainfall.

As a safety precaution, several trains operating on this route will be affected. Consequently, a number of services will be temporarily cancelled, short-terminated (ending their journey before the final destination), or will short-originate (starting from a station ahead of their scheduled origin).

Passengers planning to travel on this route are strongly advised to check the status of their specific train from official sources like the NTES app or by calling the railway helpline at 139 before starting their journey.
