The Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation (IRCTC) has launched the beta version of its redesigned ticket booking website, offering passengers an early preview of a faster, cleaner and more user-friendly booking experience. The beta portal is now accessible through the existing IRCTC website, allowing users to explore the new interface and share feedback before the final version is rolled out.
Launched in 2002, the IRCTC website currently handles an average of around 14.5 lakh ticket bookings every day. The redesigned platform introduces a modern interface with a simplified user experience aimed at reducing booking time, improving navigation and making the overall ticket booking process smoother for passengers.
Key upgrades in the beta version include:
No unnecessary captchas or pop-ups: A clutter-free interface without unnecessary captchas, flashing graphics or distracting elements.
Seat availability across all classes: Users can view seat availability for all travel classes more conveniently.
Faster checkout: Fewer steps are required to complete a ticket booking, making the process quicker.
Saved passenger details: Frequently used passenger information can be saved, making repeat bookings easier and faster.
The beta version is now available through the existing IRCTC website, where users can explore the new features and submit feedback to help shape the final public release.
The portal is available through the existing IRCTC website at https://www.irctc.co.in/eticket/
