Shri Sanjay Kumar Srivastava, General Manager, South Central Railway, conducted a Safety Review Meeting on 22nd June, 2026 at Rail Nilayam, Secunderabad. The session focused o­n evaluating the zone’s readiness in ensuring uninterrupted, safe train operations and tackling challenges by upcoming monsoons. The meeting was attended by Shri Satya Prakash, Additional General Manager, SCR, along with Principal Heads of Departments. Divisional Railway Managers (DRMs) of all three divisions — Secunderabad, Hyderabad and Nanded joined via video conferencing.

In view of the upcoming monsoon season and recognizing the risks posed to Electrical Safety, Shri Sanjay Kumar Srivastava, General Manager, South Central Railway, directed teams to undertake cutting of trees and branches near railway tracks and ensure availability of GPS trackers by field staff for effective monitoring. He emphasized that supervisors must remain vigilant, ensuring that any issue is promptly addressed and resolved without delay.

The review placed strong emphasis o­n maintaining close watch to ensure safe train operations. Officials were instructed to ensure standard power supply arrangements with particular attention to preventing disruptions such as electrical tripping or short circuits during train operations.

The General Manager further instructed officials to conduct joint inspections of points and crossings and at critical locations, and complete all pending repair works immediately. He also emphasized the importance of holding refresher courses for employees, ensuring that staff must remain updated o­n safety protocols and operational practices.
