Shri Rajeev Kumar, Additional Member (Railway Stores), Railway Board, visited the Banaras Locomotive Works on 15 May 2026. During the visit, he carried out a detailed inspection of the ASRS Ward, MS Ward, TOT-37 Ward, HLS-39 Ward, J-56 Ward, and the Loco Frame Shop of the workshop. He also planted a sapling in the mango orchard located within the workshop premises, conveying the message of environmental sustainability and green energy.

During the visit, he closely observed the locomotive manufacturing process, technological innovations, and the high standards of quality maintained at BLW.

After the workshop inspection, a meeting was held at the Hall of Fame in the Administrative Building. During the meeting, Shri Alok Agrawal, Principal Chief Materials Manager, delivered a Power Point presentation highlighting the brief history of BLW, locomotive manufacturing processes, advanced technological innovations, and production achievements.
