In compliance with the guidelines of the Ministry of Railways, Government of India, and under the guidance of General Manager, Mr. Naresh Pal Singh, a special cleanliness awareness campaign was conducted on October 16, 2025, at Banaras Locomotive Works, in the offices of the Deputy Chief Design Engineer/Electrical Loco (Project) under the Chief Design Engineer/Electrical Loco (Project). This program proved to be an important step towards strengthening BLW's Swachhata Abhiyan, with special emphasis placed on keeping the office premises clean, organized, and environmentally friendly.
Under Special Campaign 5.0, cleanliness and systematic maintenance, proper management of old records, disposal of unused items and furniture, space management and beautification of offices, and effective disposal of scrap materials were carried out in the offices of the Deputy Chief Design Engineer/Electrical Loco (Project). During the campaign, an intensive cleaning drive was carried out in the office premises, in which officers and employees enthusiastically participated. This program not only promoted daily efficiency but also contributed to the efficient use of resources and environmental protection.
In another initiative, under the Swachhata Abhiyan 2025, a successful pamphlet distribution program was organized to create awareness among shopkeepers at the Jalalipatti Market complex in BLW, raising awareness about the importance of cleanliness and environmental protection. During the program, the Safety Department team distributed cleanliness-related pamphlets to shopkeepers, including tips on waste management, clean water conservation, and adopting cleanliness in daily life. The campaign aims to make the BLW campus and surrounding areas clean and safe.
This campaign is playing a vital role in creating awareness about cleanliness and motivating BLW employees and the community towards environmental protection. Through this campaign, the BLW administration is not only promoting internal cleanliness but also creating a widespread impact by engaging the external community.
