Additional Member (Traction), Railway Board, Conducted Inspection and Inaugurates CSR-backed Computer Centre in Guntakal Division

Shri Vijay Pratap Singh, Additional Member (Traction), Railway Board, conducted a window trailing inspection between Guntakal and Gooty during his visit to the Guntakal Division. He was accompanied by Shri Chandra Shekhar Gupta, Divisional Railway Manager (DRM), Guntakal. The inspection primarily focused on reviewing the condition of tracks, Overhead Equipment (OHE), and other vital safety infrastructure. The objective was to assess operational efficiency, ensure adherence to safety standards, and identify areas for further enhancement of rail operations.

As part of the visit, Shri Vijay Pratap Singh also inaugurated a newly established computer centre at the Zilla Parishad Girls High School, Gooty. The facility has been developed under a Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative by M/s Wabtec Corporation, in collaboration with Indian Railways. This initiative aims to empower students, particularly girls, by providing access to digital literacy and foundational computer education.

Addressing the students on the occasion, Shri Singh highlighted the pivotal role of education in nation-building and urged them to take full advantage of the resources provided. He inspired the young minds to develop a passion for learning and emphasized the transformative power of education in shaping their futures. This visit reflects Indian Railways' dual focus on operational excellence and community development, reinforcing its commitment to both infrastructural progress and social empowerment.
