Shri Arun Kumar Jain, General Manager, South Central Railway held a detailed review meeting on the safety of train operations and further strengthening of the working system on the zone. Shri Neeraj Agrawal, Additional General Manager, SCR participated in the meeting along with all the Principal Heads of Departments. Divisional Railway Managers (DRMs) of all six divisions i.e., Secunderabad, Hyderabad, Vijayawada, Guntakal, Guntur, and Nanded joined the review meeting held through video conference on 07th April, 2025 at Rail Nilayam, Secunderabad.

Shri Arun Kumar Jain conducted a detailed review of the safety of train operations across the zone. He instructed the officials and staff to strictly adhere to the safety rules and procedures as per the Railway Board guidelines issued from time to time. He also stressed ensuring safety in train operations and instructed not to follow any shortcut methods. He advised the staff to be more vigilant while on duty to avoid any untoward incidents.

Shri Arun Kumar Jain also reviewed the progress of various safety drives being carried out on the zone pertaining to the safety of rail tracks and signaling systems. He also examined the safety action plans of the Mechanical, Engineering, and Signal & Telecommunications departments and reviewed the availability of safety items such as smoke detectors, fire extinguishers, etc.

Further, the General Manager held a detailed review on the safety drive carried out at Amrit station worksites across the zone to ensure compliance with all safety procedures and guidelines during construction works. He also instructed the officials to take immediate action on any abnormal situations noticed to avoid unsafe incidents.
